We Will Return to Office Despite Everything
We Will Be Back to Office Despite Everything
The coronavirus rapidly changed the way we work. Remote work emerged as a new option. The question 'Will offices move to homes?' suddenly became a topic of discussion for everyone.
Our survey conducted last May showed that, contrary to popular belief, only about 7% of people wanted to "work from home continuously." 48.7% of the participants shared that they wanted to work in the office. The percentage of those wanting to work both at the office and from home was 43.9%.
However, since last May, our views have started to change.
When we asked our followers on Linkedin this February, we saw that while many of us missed working in the office last year and wanted to return to the office as soon as possible, this year the majority prefer working both from home and the office.
However, working from home also brings its challenges. The time spent in front of the screen makes us feel tired and this leads to stress. Also, the obligation to be in front of the screen, coupled with home furniture not being suitable for work, causes more neck and back pain.
A study by HBR (Harvard Business Review) revealed that 55% of remote workers feel that they can't balance work and personal life. According to another study, employees don't feel isolated at home and need a professional space, hence their desire to return to the office. A Morgan Stanley study also found that employees prefer to work in the office an average of three days a week.
It seems that as life normalizes, we will return to our offices, but not without overlooking the advantages of working from home :)
Stay safe and healthy...
